The AAV allows the release of air pockets from within a closed water system, ensuring that this system does not become airlocked. The Automatic Air Vent does not need to receive instructions from the PCB. A float within the AAV monitors the system water level and allows air to be vented. When the water level is high, the float will block the air discharge hole, if the water level is low, air can escape as the discharge hole is no longer blocked.
