The AAV allows the release of air bubbles from inside a central heating system, ensuring that this system does not become airlocked. The Automatic Air Vent, as the name suggests, performs its job automatically, without any need for orders from the PCB. A float within the AAV monitors the system water level and allows air to be vented. If the level of the water is high, the float will block the air discharge hole, when the level of the water is low, the holes are no longer blocked and the air can escape.
