The Automatic Air Vent allows the release of air pockets that are present within a closed water system, ensuring that this system does not become airlocked. The Automatic Air Vent, as the name suggests, performs its job automatically, without any need for orders from the PCB. There is a float built in to the AAV which matches the water level within the system and allows air to be vented. When the water level is high, the float will block the air discharge hole, if the water level is low, air can escape as the discharge hole is no longer blocked.
