The Diverter valve is located primarily inside combination boilers and ensures that heated water is diverted to the central heating system or, alternatively, towards the hot water taps. When the PCB becomes aware of a need for heat, it sends a message to the Diverter Valve which then diverts the hot water to the required part of the system.
