This part is located within the gas valve section of the appliance. The gas valve regulates the volume of gas within the boiler. It functions in the same way as a tap but takes its instructions from the printed circuit board. When gas isn't required the gas valve closes, ending the flow of gas. If gas is required a signal from the PCB instructs the gas valve to open.
