Vokera 8308 Sensing Electrode

You will find 2 main types of Electrodes within most boilers The Ignition Electrode (sometimes known as the Spark Electrode) and the Flame sensing Electrode. The Spark Electrode uses a spark to ignite the fuel inside the burner and begin the combustion process. The flame is then monitored by the Flame Sensing Electrode which makes sure that a flame is present within the combustion chamber. This feature is critical as it prevents gas from flooding the burner if the flame has been extinguished.
