Main 942/9387 Spark Generator

There are 2 main types of electrodes that are found in most boilers: The Flame Monitoring Electrode (also known as the Flame Sensing Electrode) and the Spark Electrode (also known as the Ignition Electrode). When there is a need to activate the boiler, the PCB relays commands to the Spark Electrode which then utilises a spark to ignite the gases within the combustion chamber. The Flame Sensing Electrode makes sure that a flame is present within the combustion chamber. This important safety feature prevents gas from flooding the burner if the flame goes out.
