The Automatic Air Vent allows the release of air pockets that are present within a closed water system, ensuring that this system doesn't display behaviours such as strange noises and increased corrosion. The Automatic Air Vent does not need to receive instructions from the PCB. There is a float built in to the AAV which monitors the system water level and allows air to be vented. If the level of the water is high, the float will block the air discharge hole, when the level of the water is low, the holes are no longer blocked and the air can escape.
