Ideal 154967 Ignition Electrode

There are 2 main types of electrodes that are found in most boilers: The Flame Monitoring Electrode (also known as the Flame Sensing Electrode) and the Spark Electrode (also known as the Ignition Electrode). A Spark Electrode utilises a spark to ignite the fuel inside the burner and begin the combustion process. The Flame Sensing Electrode makes sure that the flame started by the spark electrode is still present inside the burner. This important safety feature stop gas from being supplied if the flame goes out.
