Ideal 075430 Detection Electrode

There are 2 main types of electrodes that are found in most boilers: 1) The Spark Electrode and 2) the Flame Sensing Electrode. A Spark Electrode produces a spark to ignite the fuel inside the burner and begin the combustion process. The flame is then monitored by the Flame Sensing Electrode which ensures that a flame is present within the combustion chamber. This feature is critical as it prevents gas from flooding the burner if the flame has been extinguished.
