The AAV allows the release of air bubbles from inside a central heating system, making sure that this system doesn't display behaviours such as strange noises and increased corrosion. The Automatic Air Vent, as the name suggests, performs its job automatically, without any need for orders from the PCB. A float within the AAV matches the water level within the system and provides an ideal way to release air whilst preventing the escape of water. When the water level is high, the float will block the air discharge hole, when the level of the water is low, air can escape as the discharge hole is no longer blocked.
